ENG - << The Other Suiko Den (Legend of Suiko) >>
< Subject > Millions of years ago, Japan was an island nation. It was connected to the five continents. (Note from the translator : This is referring to Pangaea / Pangea. This was was a supercontinent that existed approximately 335 million years ago. It began to break apart about 175 million years ago.) The eruption of Mt. Fuji closed an underground tunnel for water. A group of Plesiosaurus, a kind of ancient creature, was left behind in the Japanese archipelago. Hundreds of thousands of years later, one thing can be said with certainty. The survival of these ancient creatures is important. It is the source for most of the legends of monsters and belief in ancient gods that still remain in Japan today. This audio drama is set in a very mysterious and sacred site. This place is known as the Five Lakes area of Mt. Fuji. This depicts the exchange of thoughts of ancient dinosaurs, which can be called 'the history of the Earth before human history' with Shin Mouri and his Samurai Troopers.
< Story > One night, one of the villages located in the Five Fuji Lakes area disappeared. This was the mystery of the land sinking underground because some unknown, unseen movement in the ground. Shin and his friends are camping in the area to investigate this enigma. In the peace and silence of the night, the boys are attacked in their sleep by Youja soldiers. One night, Shin hears someone calling out to him. It's warning him of a disaster. A disastert that is due to the destruction of the natural underground aqueduct of the Five Fuji Lakes. Shin and his friends discover the reason behind this unusual destruction. It's because of the abnormal rise in the ground water for the Goko (company name) water supply. However, that's not all there is. They also detect the existence of a Youja. The mastermind behind this ruse is the palace doctor for Arago. His name is Jurokuya. He was the son of a German Catholic monk. His father secretly came to Japan. He was ordered by the Pope to go there during the Heian-kyo Period (794 - 1185). This young man was forced to convert to Christianity and marry a Japanese woman. The reason for this was to proselytize (the action of attempting to convert someone from one religion to another). After his father's death, Jurokuya used his father's inherited medical skills and religious magic to become a doctor for the Shogun's family. Unfortunately, his mixed-race background caused him to carry a grudge. This young man was eventually killed under the stigma of being a traitor. He died at the age of 21. After his death, his skills were very impressive. So impressive that he was resurrected by the Youja Emperor known as Arago. Although Jurokuya was never seen on the front lines of battle, he had made a name for himself as a mysterious figure in the Youja World. In order to heal Arago's wounds from his massive battle with the Troopers, the water from the Five Fuji Lakes was required. This water was, and continues to be, a treasure trove of sacred water. It was distilled and used for Arago's medical treatment. As a result, the underground aqueduct leading to the ocean. It had been closed for tens of thousands of years. However, now it was open again. This sent a large amount of lake water flowing out into the ocean. This caused the original tunnel to collapse. All of this triggered the huge land disappearance mentioned above. Due to the mysterious voice guiding them, Shin and the other Troopers are confronted by Jurokuyo. The teens are defeated due to the overwhelming power of the European's demonic power (i.e. Jurokuyu defeated the Troopers). This could be called the magic of Jurokuya. A mysterious ball of light appears. It behaves as if it wants to stop the Troopers from pursuing the Youja any further. Jurokuyo is lured by the ball of light into the lake and he leaves. That night, Shin hears the mysterious voice again. After putting on his armor, he dives to the bottom of the lake. At the bottom of the lake is where he finds a swirling super current. An undersea cave with a wide entrance awaits the Trooper of Suiko. The teen rushes into the cave with no regard for his own mortality. (Because this is a very dangerous situation and he could die.) However, to his surprise, Shin finds that the momentum of the current has weakened after several hundred meters of diving.

ENG - By this time Jurokuyo had become one with the mysterious ball of light. The Youja was emitting a strong demonic power from his entire body. This was minimizing the outflow of the lake water. Under his labored breath, Jurokuya spoke. "Boy. This willful ball of light (this ghost? spirit? soul?) is one that went from the continent and out into the sea. Its bones are buried in this land. There are times when I dream of the endless continent and my father's homeland. Although I have become a Youja spirit, I continue to have a human heart. However, you are the incarnation of water. Use your skills to make this cave explode. Destroy this cave with me in inside of it. You are the incarnation of water, you should be able to accomplish this." Shin felt confused and wasn't certain what to do. Although he was certain that he could accomplish this goal. After his attack, the cave closed its underground tunnel again. A ball of light emerged from the rubble of the explosion. A voice is heard from the current of water. "Boy, for the first time in sixteen nights, you have been able to sleep peacefully. Nature and the waters of Lake Fuji have been protected by your hands. I sincerely say 'thank you very much'." It is at this moment when Jurokuyo rrealized that the power of Suiko isn't the power to fight. It's the power to protect. The power to protect life, the land, and the sea. Shin chases after the glowing ball. The ball (spirit? ghost? soul?) had completed its mission. It was about to disappear to the bottom of the lake. Shin discovers the fossil of a giant aquatic dinosaur in the path of the glowing ball. 'The dinosaur has been protecting this lake for thousands and thousands of years. . .' Shin is moved to tears by the innocent soul. The mysterious lake became silent again. (This is a preparatory draft for "Suiko Den / Legend of Suiko," which is titled "Dedicated to the Lost Ancient Soul.)
